All began in 1973 with the energy and unceasing perseverance of Manel Salart Regincós, a young man from Cadaqués with studies in mechanics. Manel opened a small workshop in Cadaqués to service boats and marine engines in the surrounding area. Seeing an opportunity to take advantage of the growth in the recreational craft fleet, this small facility soon expanded and paved the way for the birth of Motonáutica Manel.

Thanks to the unwavering determination and involvement of Maria Lluisa Casanovas Gelada, Manel Salart’s wife who has always been there to help and at the head of customer service, the project of opening up the two shops we now have has become a reality.

In parallel, Manel and Maria Lluisa expanded the facilities in Cadaqués, until reaching the current size offering 5,000 m² of usable space and the most advanced technology to provide a comprehensive service to all recreational craft.

Now, with the second generation having entered the business, the company is managed by Montserrat Salart Casanovas, with a Business Administration and Management Degree and her husband Frode Hopland, with a Degree in Tourism, who is now the manager of the technical service. This generational transfer has placed a team of staff at the helm that is both professional and greatly experienced in the sector. This highly-skilled team allows Motonáutica Manel to face the future with its customary commitment to service and open to new challenges.

We started our professional career in 1973, specializing as an expert nautical workshop. We have evolved over the years, adapting to the development of the market as well as the needs of our customers and our environment, today we are also leaders in the sale and maintenance of boats.
